Industrial hoses, as key components for fluid and gas transmission and mechanical connections, are widely used in the chemical, construction, agricultural, and manufacturing industries. Proper handling of industrial hoses not only ensures operational efficiency, but also extends their service life and ensures operational safety. The following are standard handling instructions and relevant precautions for industrial hoses.
Before using an industrial hose, it is important to select the appropriate material and specifications based on the specific application. Different media (such as oils, chemical solvents, and high-pressure gases) require different hose tolerances, so the hose's pressure rating, temperature range, and chemical compatibility must be strictly matched. Before installation, inspect the hose for surface defects such as cracks, hardening, or wear to ensure there is no structural damage.
When connecting hoses, use the matching connectors or adapters and ensure that the connections are secure. Avoid the risk of leaks or bursts due to loose connectors. For high-pressure hoses, double clamps or threaded locking are recommended for securing. During installation, avoid excessive bending or twisting of the hose and maintain a natural, relaxed position to prevent damage to the internal structure. If the hose needs to pass through confined spaces, it should be secured with a protective sleeve or bracket to reduce friction and external impact.
During operation, strictly control the pressure and temperature of the medium and do not exceed the rated limits of the hose. In high-pressure environments, it is recommended to gradually increase the pressure and observe the hose's condition to prevent damage caused by sudden pressure fluctuations. If the hose is exposed to extreme temperatures, insulation or heat preservation measures should be implemented to prevent degradation of the material's performance.
After use, the hose should be promptly drained of any residual medium and flushed with a detergent (if transporting corrosive substances). Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and contact with corrosive substances such as oil, acids, and alkalis. Hoses that are not used for an extended period should be coiled and stored to avoid being squeezed by heavy objects or scratched by sharp objects.
Regular maintenance is key to extending the life of industrial hoses. It is recommended to inspect hoses for wear quarterly and replace any signs of wear or damage. Operators should receive professional training and be familiar with safety regulations to ensure that operating procedures comply with industry standards. Through standardized operation and proper maintenance, industrial hoses can maintain efficient and safe performance.
