As a vital component of modern buildings and industrial equipment, air conditioning systems rely heavily on the quality of their various components for performance and reliability.Rubber accessories, with their excellent elasticity and weather resistance, play a key role in air conditioning systems. Based on their function and application, rubber accessories for air conditioning systems can be divided into multiple categories, each fulfilling a specific role.
Sealing rubber accessories are one of the most common types of components in air conditioning systems, primarily used to prevent refrigerant leakage and the ingress of external contaminants. These accessories, including O-rings, gaskets, and sealing strips, are typically made from oil- and high-temperature-resistant rubber materials such as nitrile rubber (NBR) and fluororubber (FKM) to ensure stable sealing performance under high pressure and extreme temperatures.
Vibration-absorbing rubber accessories are primarily used to reduce vibration and noise generated by moving parts such as air conditioning compressors and fans. Common products include rubber shock pads, shock absorbers, and rubber mounts. These components absorb mechanical vibration through the deformation of highly elastic materials, thereby improving the smooth operation of air conditioning systems and extending equipment life. Silicone rubber and chloroprene rubber (CR) are commonly used in the manufacture of these accessories due to their excellent shock-absorbing properties and aging resistance.
Connecting rubber accessories, such as rubber flexible joints and expansion joints, are primarily used for flexible connections in piping systems. These accessories can compensate for pipe installation errors or displacement caused by thermal expansion and contraction, while also reducing vibration transmission. Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) is widely used in connecting components of air conditioning water systems due to its excellent water and chemical resistance.
In addition, there are thermal insulation rubber accessories, such as rubber insulation sleeves, which are primarily used to protect refrigeration pipes, reduce cooling loss, and prevent condensation. These accessories are typically made of closed-cell foam rubber, which offers excellent thermal insulation and moisture resistance.
In summary, rubber accessories for air conditioning systems come in a variety of categories, each designed and selected to meet specific functional requirements. With the continuous advancement of air conditioning technology, the performance requirements for rubber accessories are also increasing. In the future, this field will continue to evolve towards high durability, environmental friendliness, and multifunctionality.
