FAQ
Does the putty adhere to oily copper tubing?
Yes-it bonds well to lightly oiled surfaces common in pre-charged line sets. For heavy oil, wipe with a dry cloth first.
Can it be painted over?
Not recommended. The putty remains soft and may bleed through paint. Use only in concealed or non-visible areas.
Is it fire-rated?
It is not a firestop material. For fire-rated penetrations, use certified intumescent sealants-our putty is for thermal, acoustic, and moisture sealing only.
How much putty is needed per indoor unit?
Typically 150–300g per unit, depending on penetration size and number of lines. We provide usage guidelines by model type.
Does it support microbial growth?
No. The formulation contains no organic nutrients and has passed anti-fungal tests (ASTM G21)-suitable for high-humidity environments.
